Drained

Drained is a Pamphlet Module for the Mothership Sci Fi Horror RPG. Players will be dropped into the unfolding horror at the Wallachia Mining Base. Here they will be exposed to a relentless and seemingly unkillable parasitic organism. Inside is:

·        A simple and easy to run layout that can be learned in minutes

·        A mystery plot that unfolds with exploration

·        An adventure that can be run as either a one-shot, side adventure, or introductory module

·        A unique reimagining of a classic horror

·        4 Savable and dynamic NPCs (that can also be cannon fodder)

Plot Synopsis:

The crew receives a distress signal from the Wallachia Mining Base: a nearby forest moon facility owned by the Bigz Mining Corporations. Upon arriving, the crew will find that the workers of the facility are in desperate need of a medical officer; theirs has gone missing and the security officer was badly injured searching for the missing doctor. The workers of WMB hope the crew can help figure out what it was that caused the injury and help find the medical officer. It will be in the crew's best interest to agree; the intense UV radiation from the nearby Class B star will fry the ship’s mainframe on landing.

Spoilers:

By investigating, the crew can learn about the bloody past of the mining facility and the discovery of the “red fungus.” This fungus feeds on the blood of organisms and will invade the nervous system of its host and use their body to seek new sources of blood. This fungal vampirism is what happened to the missing doctor and what will happen to the entire crew if they do not find a way to destroy or contain the fungus.
